Ingredients:
Sliced Mushroom (about 500 grams)
Chopped spinach (about a packet sized that you can get from woolworths)
2 tablespoons Butter or oil
1 packet of spring vegetable soup
1 packet of French onion soup (these two you can get from woolworths from the soup section its a packet of powder i cant remember the brand this is a hopeless post sort of!)
1 small carton sour cream
Cob of bread ( i got mine from bakers delight)
Method:
1. Melt butter in a pot
2. Add the spinach and cook that
3. Add mushroom
4. After cooking the spinach and mushroom to your liking, mix in the spring vegetable soup and French onion soup
5. Stir in sour cream
6. If at this point it is too salty, you can add half a cup of water
7. With the bread, cut the top of the bread and take the ‘lid’ off. Take the insides of the bread out. You’ll be using these innies to dip into the dipping as well.
8. Put the cob, the lid and the innies of the bread in the oven and toast it for a bit.
9. Pour the dipping in the cob and put the lid back on the bread. SerVE!

mmm i love spinach dip! i like adding mozza cheese too!
We love this dip too but make ours without mushrooms (it ends up being only a few ingredients long-perhaps for the lazy :P )
Cool! I think you need more bread... :)
I love the idea of dip in a bread bowl. Actually anything in a bread bowl is pretty cool :)
haha best bowl ever!
Woah! I've seen these at Czech restaurants. Looks great!
om nom nom nom nom
looks great!!!
Yummmm, I love bread bowl dips!
Especially if you heat the dip in the bread for a little while before serving - Perfect for winter!
I'm thinking about making one for my good friday dinner party.
Spinach, ricotta, sour cream, chilli, garlic and spring vegetable soup - But who knows, It's going to be a random in the moment mix :P Sometimes I'm just not good at sticking to recipes.
ah! love soups/stews/curries in bread on a nice cold day.
this looks awesome :)
This dip reminds me of my Medicare days. We would always make it during a farewell or someones birthday. Its delicious and very colourful.
This is just the perfect dish to bring to a potluck or have as a casual appetizer. But if I were your guest, I'd be likely to snatch it from the table and run away, just to have it all to myself. It looks that delicious!
A friend of mine used to make this all the time. I love it. Thanks for reminding me!
Yes! I've seen those bread soup bowls at Muffin Break also. Always tempted, but never devoured. hehe
This looks great! I can see why it was a hit.
Love bread bowl dips - my colleagues recently introduced me to it. Looks yum
Haha, I thought that was a big bowl of soup at first, but since it's dip, then that's even better. It looks amazingly tasty, and a great idea.
Looks so good.I come across this idea now and again but have never gotten round to making it. I just got a book which bakes eggs in Brioche.....(I'm sure its eggs - its not close to my reach at the mo!)
Cob loaf dips are always fun and taste great. The only problem is you always need more bread. Looks loverly.
This is definitely a very useful and delicious way to serve soup. It gives new meaning to "licking the bowl clean" :)
Oh what a fantastic recipe! Love the idea of serving the dip in a bread bowl. Yum!
OH YUM! I love love anything with mushroom in it. Haha just the thought of the left over bits been heated up in the oven makes me drool. Nothing beats crusty bread and soup.
mmm some bacon would go well too! I love cob dips- especially at parties!
Looks great. I've seen a few recipes for stuffing hollowed out bread but never tried to cook one, this looks fab!
I make this recipe as well and bring it to parties - such great party food! And the dip is just so tasty!
I've had this a few times at my friend's house. It's so delicious and addictive!
